The Teachers Service Commission has announced 170 job vacancies for senior positions in various departments. In a notice issued on Tuesday March 10 2026, the commission said it is seeking qualified candidates to fill several leadership and management roles.

Among the advertised positions are Senior Deputy Director — Human Resource Management and Development, Senior Deputy Director — Internal Audit, two Deputy Directors — Human Resource Management, Deputy Director — Human Resource Development, Deputy Director — Internal Audit Information System, and Deputy Director — Risk Management.
The commission is also recruiting 132 Assistant Directors for Teacher Management Field, 20 Principal Officers for Teacher Professional Management, eight Principal Officers for Staffing, and three Principal Officers for Teacher Discipline Management. 

What Is TSC Looking For?

What Does Each Role Involve?
Assistant Director — Teacher Management Field (132 positions)
This is the biggest vacancy in this recruitment. These officers will be responsible for supervising, monitoring, and coordinating teachers working in schools across different regions of Kenya. This is a field based role meaning you will work directly in counties and schools.
Principal Officer — Teacher Professional Management
These officers handle teacher professional standards, ensuring teachers across the country meet the required professional qualifications and conduct.
Deputy Director — Human Resource Development
This role coordinates TSC staff training and development programmes, implements professional development strategies, conducts training needs assessments, oversees capacity building initiatives, monitors training effectiveness, and prepares development plans for the commission. 
Deputy Director — Internal Audit Information Systems
This position performs information systems audits, reviews ICT controls, evaluates digital system integrity, assesses technology related risks, ensures compliance with ICT governance policies, and prepares TSC audit reports on system performance and security. 
Deputy Director — Risk Management
This role develops and implements risk management frameworks, identifies institutional risks, monitors mitigation strategies, coordinates risk reviews across departments, and maintains risk registers.
