Shirko Returns! Bongo Flava Veteran Features on Mex Cortez's Star-Studded "KUUH" Remix

Bongo Flava veteran Shirko makes a comeback appearance on Mex Cortez's star-studded "KUUH (Remix)," joining Ibraah, Droper, Elli Hekima and others on the July 2026 release.

Bongo Flava veteran Shirko is back in the spotlight, featuring on the newly released "KUUH (Remix)" by Tanzanian artist Mex Cortez, marking his return to the music scene after a long absence.

The remix, officially released on July 15, 2026, follows the success of the original "KUUH" collaboration between Mex Cortez and Ibraah, which dropped in May 2026. The new version expands the lineup significantly, bringing together Ibraah, Shirko, Droper, Elli Hekima, FreshLikeUhhh, Joh Marley, Saa1nnt, Drillah TZ, and Trinidad and Tobago's AbNa in what has been described as one of the most star-studded collaborations of the year.

A Fusion of Sounds and Styles

The track blends Bongo Flava, Hip-Hop, and Afro-Soul influences, with each artist bringing a distinct flavour to the remix. Shirko's verse adds to the energetic mix that spans smooth melodies and sharp, hard-hitting bars, while Elli Hekima and AbNa bring an international touch to the collaboration.

The audio was recorded at 41Records, produced by Blaq Beats, and mixed and mastered by CHZN Brain.

Comeback Moment for Shirko

For longtime fans of Bongo Flava, Shirko's appearance on the remix is a notable highlight, marking his comeback after time away from the industry. His feature slots him alongside both established names and rising stars, reintroducing him to a new generation of listeners riding the current wave of East African urban music.

"KUUH (Remix)" is now available on major streaming platforms.
