A senior police officer Agnes Ndanu is under investigation after her girlfriend, 25-year-old Nicole Omondi, was allegedly assaulted and fell from a 6th-floor apartment in Thome Estate, Kasarani.
A senior Kenyan police officer is facing serious allegations after her girlfriend of three years, 25-year-old Nicole Omondi, was left with life-altering injuries following a domestic dispute in Thome Estate, Kasarani.
Editorial note: Reports differ on the exact station where the accused officer, identified as Agnes Ndanu, was serving at the time of the incident — some accounts name Kasarani Police Station, others International House or KICC. Don Sami Live will update this detail once officially confirmed.
According to reports, the two had gone out for drinks before returning to their apartment, where an argument broke out over accusations of infidelity. The dispute escalated into a physical altercation, with Nicole alleging she was struck before being pushed from the building's balcony on the sixth floor.
Speaking from her hospital bed, Nicole gave her own account of the incident: "She started accusing me of being involved with another woman. Then, all of a sudden, she became violent and started beating me before pushing me out of the house."
Nicole survived the fall after landing on an iron-sheet roof and coils of razor wire, but sustained severe spinal and limb injuries. She is currently receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital, with reports indicating the injuries may have left her paralysed from the waist down.
Her sister, Annette Omondi, has further alleged that Ndanu struck Nicole with a glass bottle during the altercation, and that Ndanu answered a phone call Nicole made to their father during the incident, reportedly telling him she was "disciplining" Nicole before ending the call.
Editorial note: These specific allegations, including the bottle assault and the phone call account, are attributed to family members and have not been independently confirmed by police at time of publication.
Despite the seriousness of the allegations, Ndanu had not been arrested as of the latest reports. A Kasarani sub-county Criminal Investigations Officer was quoted saying she remains on the police payroll and that her whereabouts are known to authorities.
Ndanu reportedly attempted to visit Nicole at the hospital but was turned away by her family, who have publicly expressed anger and frustration over the incident.
Editorial note: Additional claims circulating online — including that Ndanu was recently demoted over alcohol-related concerns and transferred to a station in Matungulu, and that she is the daughter of a retired senior police officer — have not been confirmed through official sources and are presented here only as unverified claims pending confirmation.
The case has drawn significant public attention, both for the severity of Nicole's injuries and for questions over why no arrest has been made given Ndanu's position within the force. Nicole's family is calling for a swift, thorough, and impartial investigation.
This is a developing story. Don Sami Live will update this post as police issue further statements or take action in the case.
